Rachel Workman: 42 All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper[i]), and to prayer.
43 A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. 44 And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. 45 They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. 46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity[j]— 47 all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
I am in awe of God continually. Maybe not enough to sell my possessions and share the money with those in need but enough to be grateful for the life he has given me.

John Burnett: 43 Everyone kept feeling a sense of awe, and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. 44 And all the believers were together and had all things in common; 45 and they would sell their property and possessions and share them with all, to the extent that anyone had need. 46 Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved. These new true believers were loving their neighbor as themselves to the highest degree possible in my view. Studying scriptures, praying every day, and providing for one another is God's ideal of what a Christian should be doing. I fall so short of this standard but thankfully, God chose to add me to the number of believers 14 years ago by opening my eyes, showing me my sin, granting me repentance and a saving faith, justifying me, sanctifying me, and eventually glorifying me from the overflow of the glory that Jesus Christ will receive when he comes back to reign.

Tomorrow’s reading for Acts 3:1-6
3 Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service. 2 As they approached the Temple, a man lame from birth was being carried in. Each day he was put beside the Temple gate, the one called the Beautiful Gate, so he could beg from the people going into the Temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for some money.
4 Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” 5 The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. 6 But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene,[a] get up and[b] walk!”
