Romans 8:26-27

Rachel Workman: 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
I'm grateful for the Holy Spirit interceding on my behalf. We all think we know what's best for us but speaking from experience we don't. God does and the Holy Spirit does. It's another way the Lord has taken the burden off of us.

John Burnett:  22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. 23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.  Every time my pinched nerve shoots some pain down my arm, it is a reminder of this promise.  We will have new bodies and there will no longer be any pain. 24 For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.  I am having a hard time waiting.  I guess that is where the eagerly comes in.
Our Victory in Christ
26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, I do not how to pray and I don’t pray near often enough.  Thankfully we have the Holy Spirit living within us and he is praying for us but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27 and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the[a]saints according to the will of God.  Because the Holy Spirit is God, He knows what to pray for us and he knows God’s will.

Pat Bell:  26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
Isn’t it wonderful how the Spirit can tell our thoughts with no words! The spirit I carry in my heart fills my soul with happiness!

Allen Michaels:  26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
As a believer, we are not left to our own resources to cope with problems. Even when we don’t know the right words to pray, the Holy Spirit prays with and for us, and God answers. With God helping us pray, we don’t need to be afraid to come before him. Ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you “in accordance with God’s will.” Then, when you bring your requests to God, trust that he will always do what is best. There are many times when I think that God is not listening. I’ve learned that he is listening, and he is answering. But, because he’s not answering the way I want him to answer, I miss the fact that he is answering…I just don’t hear him.

Tomorrow’s reading for Romans 8:28-30

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified
