Rachel Workman: 1 Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings[a];
honor the Lord for his glory and strength.
2 Honor the Lord for the glory of his name.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea.
The God of glory thunders.
The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars;
the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf;
he makes Mount Hermon[b] leap like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord strikes
with bolts of lightning.
8 The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake;
the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks[c]
and strips the forests bare.
In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”
The God of glory thunders.
The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.

10 The Lord
rules over the floodwaters.
The Lord reigns as king forever.
11 The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace.
The Lord reigns as king forever.
11 The Lord gives his people strength.
The Lord blesses them with peace.
I loved the psalm. But verse 11 stood out to
me. The Lord gives his people strength and he blesses them with peace. I can't
imagine my life without God's peace. It's a blessing. These are the true
blessings from God. When God promises his blessings in our lives this is what
he means. It's not to say we are not blessed with "things" because
each and every one of us are. But we are blessed with his presence, his
strength, and his peace. And that is blessing enough.

John
Burnett: 29 Ascribe
to the Lord, O [a]sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory [b]due to His name;
Worship the Lord in [c]holy array.
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters;
The God of glory thunders,
The Lord is over [d]many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful,
The voice of the Lord is majestic.
5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars;
Yes, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,
And Sirion like a young wild ox.
7 The voice of the Lord hews out [e]flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord [f]shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord makes the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everything says, “Glory!”
The God of glory thunders,
The Lord is over [d]many waters.

10 The Lord
sat as King at the flood;
Yes, the Lord sits as King forever.
11 [g]The Lord will give strength to His people;
[h]The Lord will bless His people with peace. Little Bible Prophesy here? The LORD sat as King at the flood, which was a judgment of the whole earth. He sits as the King forever so he will be the sitting judge when everyone will be judged. Right before the judgment seat, He will give his people strength because the whole world will be gathered at Armageddon to attack Israel. Jesus will return and defeat this army and His people will be blessed for 1000 years as Jesus takes over as King and rules from the new Jerusalem.
