Rachel Workman:
11 “Whenever you enter a city or village, search for a worthy person and stay in his home until you leave town. 12 When you enter the home, give it your blessing. 13 If it turns out to be a worthy home, let your blessing stand; if it is not, take back the blessing. 14 If any household or town refuses to welcome you or listen to your message, shake its dust from your feet as you leave. 15 I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.

I think it's still good advice. If someone
doesn't want to hear then shake the dust off your feet. It's not up to me or
you to take care of it. God will.

John
Burnett: 11 And whatever city or village you
enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay [a]at his house until you leave
that city. 12 As you enter the [b]house, give it your [c]greeting. 13 If
the house is worthy, [d]give it your blessing of
peace. But if it is not worthy, [e]take back your blessing
of peace. 14 Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your
words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet. 15 Truly
I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and
Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city. Verse 15 is pretty clear that God’s wrath will be on those
who do not heed the words of the disciples, who of course were preaching the
gospel. We are not to have anything to do with people or cities like
that, so much so that Jesus told the disciples to shake the dust off their
feet. I need to remember this verse when I get a hankering to go to Las
Vegas. I would rather just go home. Come quickly Lord Jesus.
