Rachel Workman: 1 Only fools say in their hearts,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;
not one of them does good!
2 The Lord looks down from heaven
on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise,
if anyone seeks God.
3 But no, all have turned away;
all have become corrupt.[a]
No one does good,
not a single one!
Sad to say this applies to us also. We are incapable of doing good. We can do some good but at heart we are sinners. Thank you Jesus for the cross that saves me from the sinners fate.
4 Will those who do evil never learn?
They eat up my people like bread
and wouldn’t think of praying to the Lord.
5 Terror will grip them,
for God is with those who obey him.
6 The wicked frustrate the plans of the oppressed,
but the Lord will protect his people.
7 Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel?
When the Lord restores his people,
Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.
Terror will grip those who are evil for God is with those who obey him. That's a great promise. I love verse 6 God will protect his people. I could lie to you all and say I obey God. But the truth is I don't. Maybe part of the time I do, but that's no different than my children only listening to me part of the time when I tell them something. Obedience is defiantly something I need to work on.

John
Burnett: 14 The
fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” I
know several people who think this and I tremble for them as I can’t imagine
the wrath they have piled upon themselves.
They are corrupt, they have committed abominable [a]deeds;
There is no one who does good.
2 The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men
To see if there are any who [b]understand,
Who seek after God.
3 They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one. This is a great passage and like Romans 3:10-12, it reminds us of who we are. We are no better than anyone else and none of us do good or are righteous on our own. Only when repent and put our trust in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection are we imputed the righteousness that we need, that is Christ’s righteousness.

4 Do all the workers of wickedness not
know,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call upon the Lord?
5 There they are in great dread, It is sad that people do not realize the condition they have, that there is a cure, but they refuse to be saved.
For God is with the righteous generation.
6 You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted,
But the Lord is his refuge.
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call upon the Lord?

7 Oh, that the salvation of Israel [c]would come out of Zion!
When the Lord [d]restores His captive people,
Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad. Little prophesy here. The salvation of Israel has already come out of Zion but they missed him the first time. He is coming again and will restore Israel and it will be sooner than we think. I know how patient God has been with me, but I know that his grapes of wrath are about to pop considering the sin in this world. Thank you Lord for restoring a sinner like me.

Krista Cook: Sadly, this describes so many in our
world today. But we can know that God is with those who obey Him.
That's the group I want to be in. How about you?
