31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?” That's a good question I ask myself all the time. I know what Jesus is capable of. I know who he is and still I have doubts.
32 When they climbed back into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 Then the disciples worshiped him. “You really are the Son of God!” they exclaimed. Again, it sounds a lot like me. I worship him when I can see what he's done but when I'm in the middle of a storm I'm the one with little faith doubting Jesus. Shame on me.
34 After they had crossed the lake, they landed at Gennesaret. 35 When the people recognized Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed. 36 They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.

John Burnett: 29 And He said, “Come!” And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!” I
have no doubts about who God is or what He has done for me and my
family, but here Peter, one of the pillars of the church, had doubts.
No doubt God’s grace will cover even our doubts.
34 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret. 35 And when the men of that place [a]recognized Him, they sent word into all that surrounding district and brought to Him all who were sick; 36 and they implored Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were cured. The
amount of faith these people had to have to think that just touching
His cloak would cure them is refreshing and convicting at the same
time. I often take God for granted knowing that I have the Word and
other resources to study and know more about my Savior. These people
only had word of mouth or had heard Him speak once or twice and they
have this strong of faith.

Allen Michaels: Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Peter
only started to sink because he took his eyes off Jesus and focused on
the high waves around him. His faith wavered when he realized what he
was actually doing.
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he
said, “why did you doubt?”
No
matter how good our intentions, sometimes our faith falters. This
doesn’t necessarily mean we have failed. When Peter’s faith faltered, he
reached out to Christ, the only one who
could help. He was afraid, but he still looked to Christ. When we are
apprehensive about the troubles around us and doubt Christ’s presence or
ability to help, we must remember that he is the
only one who can really help.
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
34 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret.
35 And when the men of that place recognized Jesus, they sent
word to all the surrounding country. People brought all their sick to
him
36 and begged him to let the sick just touch the edge of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.
